Anchor Ranch

This paradise is situated in beautiful southern Oregon just eighty miles north of the California border. The average daytime summer temperatures range from 72 to 85 degrees. Because the ranch is in the banana belt the winters are mild with temperatures ranging into the sixtys on a warm day.

Some of the well known benefits of grazing natural pasture are:

  • Less colic because of the easy digestibility of the grasses.
  • Teeth need to be floated less often because they are eating seventeen hours a day which keeps the teeth worn down from natural use.
  • Less boredom because the horses are always moving around the pasture grazing.
  • Less trimming because they keep their feet worn down.

All the pastures are a minimum of 60 acres that are in timothy, rye, New Zealand clover, orchard grass and fawn fescue plus others in small amounts.
